An invitation

Most people have mistaken
surviving well for thriving.

We'd like to help your audience understand what vitality really is.

Why this conversation matters

Vitality has been narrowed to biohacks, metrics, and molecules. What's been lost is the foundational understanding that vitality is a state you return to, sustained by relationship: with food, soil, sleep, community, ceremony, and the rhythms of the natural world.

For thousands of years, ancestral and Indigenous traditions have understood the human body as part of a living ecosystem. Modern wellness has built an industry around the symptoms of its absence while ignoring its source.

ALVARA exists to restore the biological foundation where lifeforce flows abundantly. We'd like to bring that conversation to your audience, with scientific rigor, specificity, and stories from three very different lives that converged around one philosophy.

The message

What we'd bring to your audience

Foundational Vitality

The difference between surviving well and truly thriving. Most of modern wellness trains people to manage symptoms from a depleted baseline. We talk about what it takes to live from abundance, and what it feels like once you're there.

Symbiotic Stacking

Nature's intelligence emerges in cooperation, not isolation. Symbiotic stacking is the principle behind MycoNectar's formulation, and it's also a way to think about ecosystems, teams, and lives well lived.

Stewardship

Caring for Earth, body, and relationships as a daily practice rather than an aspirational ideal. Stewardship connects our work with veterans, our pollinator conservation, and the land we steward at the Sanctuary.

The founders

Three lives. One philosophy.

Ty Clark

Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer

Ty Clark

Ty is ALVARA's medicine maker: the formulator of MycoNectar and the artisan behind every small batch, each produced on a sound table tuned to nine Solfeggio frequencies, on the full moon, as ceremony.

Over 20-plus years he has studied with Indigenous elders and medicine keepers, sat in Lakota ceremony, and trained in the Vajrayana, Zen, and Dzogchen traditions. He holds certifications in Kundalini teacher training, Reiki Master (Usui), Alphabiotics, Theta Healing (Level 3), Rebirthing Breathwork, and Reconnective Healing.

Jamieson Slough

Co-Founder & Executive Chairman

Jamieson Slough

Jamieson is a United States Marine Corps Major (ret.) and a former F/A-18 Hornet air combat instructor pilot with 1,600-plus flight hours across two overseas tours. Before the Corps he was a dual-sport All-American at the Naval Academy and a Naval Academy Hall of Fame inductee.

The defining turn in his story came when his family was exposed to toxic chemicals at Camp Lejeune. Conventional medicine offered management. Jamieson sought healing, and found it, which ultimately led him to Ty. He leads Front Line Vitality, ALVARA's program for veterans, active duty military, and first responders.

Jared Angaza

Co-Founder & CEO

Jared Angaza

Jared has spent 25 years building brands and institutions across five countries, including a decade in East Africa, where he co-authored women's rights legislation ratified into law in Rwanda and designed the research framework for one of USAID's first micro-loan banking models.

He designed the first Citizen Astronaut Training Program with Space for Humanity and Yale, training two Blue Origin astronauts. In 2024 he joined the MIT Critical Data Research Lab as an Associate Researcher, focused on integrating Indigenous epistemology into AI ethics and healthcare education.

The ecosystem

ALVARA operates across four integrated pillars. Each one is an expression of the same philosophy: that vitality is sustained through symbiotic relationship between people, land, species, and practice.

MycoNectar

The flagship formulation. 24 synergistic ingredients suspended in raw honey, formulated by Ty Clark over 20-plus years on the principle of symbiotic stacking.

On the mic

We are comfortable on the mic,
and we take the job seriously.

Jared hosted and produced the Noetic podcast (2020 to 2023) and is currently launching the MIT Critical Data Research Lab podcast as host. He has been a guest on more shows than he can reasonably count and has hosted online panel discussions with space industry experts and celebrities.

Ty has spent over 25 years teaching ancestral medicine, leading ceremony, and speaking on the intersection of nature, healing, and human vitality. He has been a trusted voice in the vitalist and functional wellness community for two decades.

Jamieson has spoken to military and civilian audiences on resilience, identity, and the transition from service to purpose. He brings a rare combination of operational credibility and personal vulnerability.

We prepare. We show up. We come with specifics.

Conversations

Conversations we'd love to have

Four threads we're especially interested in right now. Happy to tailor any of these, or propose something specific to your audience.

01

The Difference Between Surviving Well and Truly Thriving

With all three founders

A conversation about foundational vitality: what it is, why most of modern wellness misses it, and what it takes to live from a state of abundance. Draws on ancestral medicine, military service, and human rights work.

02

Symbiotic Stacking: Nature's Intelligence as a Design Principle

With Ty Clark

Why the most advanced vitality science already exists in nature. How symbiotic relationships between fungi, plants, bees, and soil produce outcomes that isolated molecules cannot replicate.

03

From the Cockpit to the Healing Path

With Jamieson Slough

The Camp Lejeune story. A Marine fighter pilot's reckoning with what conventional medicine could not fix, and the mission that grew from it. For audiences that care about military service, family, and honest healing.

04

Indigenous Intelligence, AI Ethics, and the Future of Human Flourishing

With Jared Angaza

What thousands of years of Indigenous wisdom can offer to the technologies shaping the next century. Drawn from Jared's research at the MIT Critical Data Research Lab and 25 years of work with Indigenous communities.
